People who know me know that one of my hobbies that I don’t get to do nearly as much as I’d like is woodworking. Usually I like to sate my craving for this by watching YouTube videos of other people making things, but I think the algorithm has found something about me: I don’t seem to be physically capable of leaving a wood turning video unwatched.
I mean look at this, its absolutely hypnotic!
I feel that I have some intermediate skills but I really doubt I could create something like that, yet watching the main bulk of it spin, and how the creator very slowly and methodically carves it down into a recognizable shape, I can’t help but feel warm inside about it.
